" I am so excited to be a Millennium Fellow because I am driven by unquenchable desire to make a change,a positive and long lasting impact to the lives of individuals living within my community and to help eradicate the day to day health challenges they battle with, mostly due to ignorance. With Millennium Fellowship giving me the platform and helping hands, the. sky is my starting point with regards to the achievement of this goal of mine. So help me God. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: CLEAN and ACCESSIBLE WATER SUPPLY for ALL

One of the greatest problems here in my local
community is the lack of clean drinkable water
that's safe and healthy for consumption. Water
supply isn't readily available and when available,it is sold at exorbitant rates, and the location is
far. Many at times, people in the community just
depend on rain water. Rain water is used for
bathing, cooking, washing of hands and so on.
Free water outlets from the government are rare and the ones available haven't supplied water for decades now. Due to the frequent use of rain
water and the purchased water, which at times is not that healthy for consumption, water borne
diseases such as cholera, typhoid and diarrhoea have skyrocketed in the community. This is
pretty bad and my project aims to put an end to
this suffering by drawing the attention of NGOs,
the Nigeria Delta Development Commission and
the State Ministry for Water Resources to this
poor predicament. I also aim to raise funds, with
the help of my campaign team to purchase and
distribute free bottled water to as many households as possible. And to also establish several
free water outlets depending on the funds raised.
