Millennium Fellowship Project: Girls Lead for Change
Girls Lead for Change: Promoting Education, Ending Early Marriages, and Empowering Girls in Leadership. Is a project that focuses on educating girls and children in schools, their parents and the community about the dangers of child marriages and the the importance of education in order to empower them for leadership. It is a response to the problem that affect our country Zambia and the globe.
About the Millennium Fellow
Kanyinji Rosemary is a optimistic, driven and determined person. She was born in rural part of Eastern Province of Zambia. She didn't hear primary and secondary school in the capital Lusaka, were she is now pursuing a Bachelor Degree at the University of Zambia, Great East campus. She is passionate about rural development, leadership and personal development. She is an Advocate, through her advocacy she strongly speaks against Gender Based Violence and Early marriages and promotes quality education, because she knows education is the best equalizer and it has brought her this far in life.
She wants to impact her community particularly rural area by engaging and speaking to the community about the dangers of early marriages and Gender Based violence in order to promote Gender equality and quality education, for young girls to be able to fulfil their dreams and lead their communities someday.
