" The principle I live by is; I don't just want to pass through the world; I want to shape it - with justice, with empathy, and with purpose. Passing through isn't enough - I'm here to leave a mark that uplifts. With a deep passion for making the world a better place for children in spite of their inherent vulnerabilities, I believe that this fellowship will better equip me for more impactful advocacy on children rights. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Haki na Watoto

This project focuses on empowering children in Kenyan primary schools to advocate for their own rights and develop into responsible, engaged citizens. During the Millennium Fellowship, a pilot school was identified where the program was launched, enrolling its first cohort of 10 students. By the end of the semester, significant improvements were observed in the children’s confidence and advocacy skills. The project also identified target donors to support future expansion. Feedback from the headteacher of the pilot school was very positive, highlighting the program’s impact on fostering self-awareness, responsibility, and leadership among the students.
