" To Empower and educate members of society through accessible knowledge and information. To be part of the Millennium Fellowship will provide me the platform to extend this impact that will allow me to connect and learn from peers in a global arena who have more experience ,knowledge and passion to meaningful change. Through this global village we are closer to building a more sustainable future. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: THEIR PATH

Our project mainly focuses on combating period poverty which is one of the major issues facing most adolescent girls in our society where most of the girls opt in using the available materials or even miss some school days during this time of the month. We find that even most of the girls also use marriage as an escape of period poverty where they decide to get married in order to get someone to provide sanitary towels for them. Another issue we will be focusing on is preventing or reducing the number of teenage pregnancies which has been highlighted as an issue not only facing our country Kenya but the globe at large. We will also focus on the issue of safe and consensual sex among our peers. And last but not least we will be focusing on the issue of providing quality education for most of the kids coming from humble backgrounds and cannot access quality education. All these will be achieved through a series of activities, but the major one will basically be through community outreach so as to get to as many people as possible in order to ensure the effectiveness of our project.
