University of South Florida | Florida, United States | Advancing SDG 5, SDG 4 & UNAI 3

" Being a Millennium Fellow excites me because it means being part of a community that believes in change as much as I do. I care about this work because I've seen how unequal access, whether to healthcare or opportunities, can limit people’s potential. I am committed to pursuing a career where I can help shape healthcare and academic environments that are equitable, compassionate, and empowering. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Herizon
Our project aims to aid other women by providing resources to excel academically and professionally. We will do this by using our connections and networks that we have established as Seniors at the University of South Florida. We want to help other women grow in a supportive community to achieve the success they strive for. This project will focus on creating a supportive community for women who can uplift and rely on each other. Empowering women with resources allowing them to expand their networks and providing mentorship contributes to this projects goal of making a more equitable environment. These resources can include hosting monthly educational events that bring in professionals, helping with different applications, academic and professional workshops, and activities that help build professional skills. This will be further promoted on a social media platform, such as Instagram, to help expand our outreach and gain a digital audience, for individuals who cannot make it to on-campus events, ensuring we are able to make these resources truly accessible.
