ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2025

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Be Good Do Good

Objective Empower university students to advocate for their rights, engage in meaningful conversations, and drive community development. Target Audience University students Project Components 1.Bi-weekly workshops to develop critical thinking, effective communication, and advocacy skills. 2. Monthly discussions facilitated by trained student leaders to explore pressing social issues. 3. Quarterly projects that bring students together to address specific community needs. Project Evaluation - Participation and engagement metrics - Pre- and post-workshop surveys to assess skill development - Feedback from participants and community partners

About the Millennium Fellow

Panashe Jessica Makoni is a dynamic and globally engaged law student at the University of Zimbabwe, driven by a passion for youth leadership, climate justice and gender equality. Born and raised in Harare, she has served as a Harare City Junior Councillor, Member of Parliament in Model Parliament Africa and president of multiple youth-led organizations. A recipient of prestigious leadership awards, Panashe has represented youth voices in civic tech, legal advocacy and community empowerment initiatives. Her work bridges local impact and global vision, reflecting her dedication to creating inclusive, just and sustainable societies.
