Millennium Fellowship Project: PROJECT POWER
his project establishes peer-led support groups designed to provide a safe, confidential space for individuals living with HIV to navigate the social and emotional challenges of their diagnosis. By integrating treatment literacy with peer mentorship, the initiative aims to increase antiretroviral (ART) adherence and retention in care.
Moving beyond clinical settings, the project focuses on "radical empathy"—using shared lived experiences to dismantle self-stigma and foster mental resilience. Our mission is to transform patients into advocates, ensuring that no one in our community faces the journey of HIV in isolation, while directly contributing to the UN’s goal of ending the AIDS epidemic by 2030.
