IVY Sister Initiative

Project Overview

The Ivy Sister Initiative is a menstrual hygiene project aimed at addressing the challenges of menstrual health and hygiene faced by young women in underserved communities. The project works to increase awareness, provide educational resources, and ensure access to menstrual products for those in need. Through partnerships with local schools, community organizations, and healthcare providers, the Ivy Sister Initiative distributes menstrual hygiene kits and provides information on menstrual health to promote dignity, health, and education for young women.

Project Impact

The project raised awareness about menstrual health through five community workshops and school campaigns, educating over 500 young women and community members on menstrual hygiene and well-being. Interactive sessions, visual materials, and partnerships with local health professionals strengthened the initiative’s impact. The project also distributed more than 60 menstrual hygiene kits and used storytelling campaigns, school talks, and social media outreach to reduce stigma around menstruation by engaging over 500 people, including men and boys.
