StoP Schau Hin

Project Overview

“StoP Schau Hin” is a two-month Instagram-based awareness campaign combined with sticker distribution, focused on reducing gender-based violence and intimate partner violence. Developed in cooperation with StoP – Stadtteile ohne Partnergewalt (AÖF), the project draws on expert guidance to ensure inclusive and sensitive communication. It educates Vienna’s neighborhoods through accessible, B1-level German content, promotes bystander intervention, and collaborates with organizations such as Verein Ninlil and Gewaltschutzzentren. Using an intersectional approach, it combines digital outreach with public-space engagement to foster informed, supportive communities that actively oppose violence.

Project Impact

The project raised awareness about gender-based violence through social media advocacy and outreach campaigns focused on promoting knowledge, attitudinal change, and civil courage. Measurable outcomes included the printing of 1,000 awareness stickers, 21 social media posts, 176 followers, 34,039 views, and 1,616 interactions, with posts shared 255 times. Overall, the initiative reached 6,839 accounts, demonstrating strong engagement and visibility around the issue of gender-based violence.
