    Badejo Joshua Olajide is a passionate youngster, who is a student of the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, currently undergoing a program in Doctor of Optometry. He hails from Idomila, in Ogun state Nigeria. He is driven by the desire to impact his sphere positively, he enjoy working with fellow creative minds with a view of fostering team work. Overall, he desire to add value that can Foster growth, development and capacity in his local community and in extension the larger society. He has held a number of Leadership positions from highschool, amongst which he was a two time president of the Fellowship of Christian Students (FCS), he has managed other leadership role in other organizations, such as being the deputy team head at the SMA Impact network, a non governmental organization focused on growth and impact. He is currently a volunteer at the Young Health Initiative (YOHI), and a member of The Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI, Kwara state, Nigeria), and Junior Chamber International (JCI, University of Ilorin, Nigeria). " Millennium Fellowship Project: PoleStar Health Initiative The PoleStar Health Initiative project, centered on sensitizing people in the informal sector like market women, on the availability of the Kwara State Health insurance scheme, that allows them access quality healthcare for themselves and children at a very reasonable reduced cost for a whole year. Beyond the sensitization, we helped with the pre-registration of some of these women and men for this scheme, as most of this women don't know how to handle digital devices. Born and raised in Kenya, she grew a passion for realizing a "brighter" Kenyan future, seeing as a significant portion of the country is yet to benefit from the national electricity grid. This has played a key role in shaping the trajectory of her college and career interests. Maria is a proud historian and dancer in African Rhythms Drum and Dance Troupe, the Chief of Marketing for the Society of African Internationals at Penn. She is also actively involved in Fossil Free Penn and Sustainable Solutions, organisations on campus that are aimed at "localising the SGD's." " Millennium Fellowship Project: Bridging the Gap The democratic promise is one achieved by meaningful civic participation, and where marginalized communities are inadequately advocated for by their representatives, the system has failed. Recognizing the disconnect between representatives and underserved communities, ‘Bridging the Gap’ seeks to eliminate that interruption of the democratic process through a multi-stage approach. By modernizing current civic participation models, adapting traditionally successful schemes to vulnerable populations’ needs, ‘Bridging the Gap’ will hope to gather insights from these populations on issues including public aid and access to justice. And after collection, ‘Bridging the Gap’ will utilize research teams composed of students and academics in the relevant field, to produce an accessible policy report that presents and analyzes stakeholders’ issues in a meaningful manner, with research-guided policy recommendations offered, oriented around being actionable solutions policy-makers can utilize. And finally, ‘Bridging the Gap’ will partner with local/national representatives, but also with external civil society organizations to bring insights onto the discussion table, advocating directly with policy-makers for change on the issues. Furthermore, through live tracking of subsequent work on the issues, and the creation of an accessible checker for relevant parliamentary action, ‘Bridging the Gap’ will hold representatives accountable before the people who elected them. " Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Aarogya Project Aarogya is dedicated to improving maternal and child health by addressing nutritional deficiencies among pregnant women and new mothers in underprivileged rural communities in India. Problem Statement: Many women in rural India suffer from severe nutritional deficiencies, including anemia and a lack of essential nutrients such as iron, zinc, and vitamins. Despite food availability, a lack of awareness and education about proper nutrition during pregnancy leads to adverse health outcomes for both mothers and children. Approach: Project Aarogya employs an innovative and participatory approach to tackle this issue. Key activities include: Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) Kits: Developing user-friendly kits with tools such as games, charts, drama, and mapping to educate and engage communities. Encouraging behavioral changes through interactive and culturally relevant methods. Community Engagement: Partnering with local NGOs and government schemes, including the Aanganwadi program, to extend the project's reach. Conducting workshops and interactive sessions tailored to the needs of pregnant women and new mothers. Advocacy and Policy Interaction: Engaging with local political representatives to advocate for the effective implementation of government nutrition programs. Pre- and Post-Assessments: Evaluating the project's impact by measuring nutritional knowledge and behavior changes among participants. Key Goals: Create and refine PRA kits based on pilot feedback. Partner with at least 5 NGOs/government bodies to reach 5 communities. Educate and empower at least 1,000 individuals, promoting healthier dietary behaviors.     Aya Catherina Elias is a potentially driven individual that aims to make a change in Lebanese society. She was raised in an unhealthy environment which made her acknowledge the importance of mental well-being as well as the value of quality of life. Thus, she chose to study psychology at the Lebanese American University (Byblos Campus). She aims to help her country's youth go through the challenges of life less severely. " Millennium Fellowship Project: Dum Spiro Spero Dum Spiro Spero is an ongoing project founded by me, Aya Catherina Elias, a second-year psychology student at the Lebanese American University in Byblos, Lebanon. The ongoing goal is to develop it into an NGO in Lebanon. In a hopeless world, this project focused on SDG 3: Good Health & Wellbeing as well as Principle #6 Human Rights. Dum Spiro Spero, or “While I breathe, I hope,” because in Lebanon, after all the social, economic, and political turmoil, you cannot survive without hope and faith. My ultimate dream has always been to become a psychologist and make a change in my community. However, I have realized, because of all the training that I have gained from the fellowship, that I can make a change as a Fellow too. By raising awareness on my social media accounts, I was able to equip my followers with the necessary skills and advice to handle emotional instability and distress. I included several leadership development skills in order to inspire them to take life into their own hands. On a daily basis, social media interaction was reaching a minimum of 200 people in my community. They were able to break through restrictions imposed on them by society’s stigmas and able to feel more comfortable to be themselves in public and voice their concerns.     Mercy osho is a bright , young and smart medical laboratory scientist (in view) in the university of Ilorin, Nigeria. She is a writer and a Product designer. As a young child Mercy's dream is to be a great impact on her community health. She belives that everyone has a right to good health and the way to start is ourselves. This drive translates into her role in her secondary school as the Health prefect and she has been pushing this agenda through the university of ilorin as she joined the program 'operation keep unilorin clean". Mercy aspires to be able to make this come true with the help us several digital projects and even physical. Mental health is a growing concern for the GEN Z community. According to a recent study, 1 in 5 young people aged 13-18 have experienced a mental health disorder in the past year. This is a significant increase from previous generations, and it is likely due to the increasing pressures of modern life. The study found that the most common mental health disorders among GEN Zers are anxiety and depression. This is not surprising, given the stressful nature of life today. From the pressure to succeed in school to the pressure to be perfect on social media, there are a lot of things that can trigger anxiety and depression in young people. It's important to be aware of these risks, and to take steps to protect mental health. " Millennium Fellowship Project: Community Waste Management Initiative in Zomba Community Waste Management Initiative at the University of Malawi and some areas in Zomba community: As part of our cohort's community development project, we embarked on the Community Waste Management Initiative, aimed at addressing the pressing issues of broken sewage pipes and plastic disposal in our community, specifically within the University of Malawi and surrounding areas in Zomba.So, our objective was to create a cleaner, healthier, and sustainable environment by mitigating the dangers and risks associated with these problems.The community faced significant challenges due to broken sewage pipes contaminating water sources, posing health risks to residents, and improper plastic disposal choking drainage systems, harming wildlife, and polluting the environment.
