" Millennium Fellowship Project: Project LYF LYF is a project that primarily focuses on environmental conservation, focusing on about 25-40 cent area, which can include land and water bodies. The project consists of 3 stages. In the first stage, the idea is to visit the place with some of our volunteers. Then collect plastics and other harmful wastes which might be present in the soil and water. Also, if any alien species are recognized that are harmful to the natural flora, then they will also be removed. We will also be testing the samples of soil/water to detect microplastics or other harmful chemicals which might be present, for awareness. The next stage is planting (trees and shrubs on land and mangroves on the lake bank) in the cleaned-up area as a measure to combat climate change. The main point is that we will plant these trees in a modern manner with a limited expense. We also have a solution for this small amount, to give our collected plastic for recycling, from which we get the required money for modern planting (about 10 rupees for 1kg of plastic waste). In the third stage, we are planning to take care of planted trees and take the required steps for their development. Jahangirnagar University | Dhaka, Bangladesh | Advancing SDG 5, SDG 10 & UNAI 3 " My passion for women’s empowerment stems from the belief that when women realize their worth, entire communities flourish. I aim to create spaces for learning, healing, and leadership through education and skill-building. The Millennium Fellowship will help me turn this vision into action, collaborate with global change makers, and drive meaningful change aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. " Millennium Fellowship Project: Learn to Lead I want to educate people about the women empowerment like what is it, how it works and its impact to outshine in life through seminars, workshops, courses and sessions with psychologists. I feel like people not knowing the importance of feminism and women being empowered is why we see the world is still lacking behind in equality. There will a core team of 50 people. Each will be divided into sub-teams with specific tasks assigned. We will arrange seminars on specific topics like female rights, hygiene, education , early marriage etc and bring guest speakers to talk with the audience. At the seminar, we will do a psychology quiz to test their current state of mind and later will provide free psychology sessions as per their state. After that we will arrange courses where they can learn different soft and hard skills for their improvement in career. Overall, my aim is to make realize a woman how important she is and what are her basic rights and what she needs to do to enhance her life for a better future.
